Congratulations Jim Palmquist

Wolseley and West Broadway community member (and long-time Sherbrook Street Festival volunteer!) Jim Palmquist is the 2018 recipient of the Lieutenant Governor’s Make a Difference Community Award. Jim is truly a pillar in the community, giving countless hours of his time volunteering in Wolseley, West Broadway, and across Winnipeg. This year marks 33 years for Jim as the Beaver Leader for the 82nd Westminster Scouts, Cubs, and Beavers group! He is the founder of Envision – Wolseley’s Festival of the Arts, which is in its 11th year at RA Steen Community Centre. Jim is also a member at large of the Wolseley Residents’ Association. These are just three of the numerous organizations he dedicates his time to. For those of you who known Jim Palmquist personally, you know how deeply he is involved with and cares about his community and the people around him.
