Benefits for your Business
The West Broadway BIZ provides a variety of community services, and offers numerous benefits directly to its member businesses. Click each heading to learn more about our programs.
We offer four grant programs to help you upgrade your storefront, improve your security or grow your business in new directions.
Our members are eligible for the BIZ Benefits program, which offers discounts on everything from shipping, to payroll & payment processing, to tax services and even gym memberships.
We maintain a network of 110 bike racks, along with benches, poster boards and other pieces of street furniture all across West Broadway. We can place racks or other infrastructure outside your business for free.

Our staff stay busy throughout the summer picking up litter, removing old posters and reporting bulky waste. We also maintain an active partnership with RaY Inc's Growing Opportunities program, providing marginalized youth with work experience to keep our streets clean during throughout the year.

Every summer we bring colour to the neighbourhood by distributing more than 130 hanging baskets and 110 planters filled with flowers. They're maintained by our summer staff and the West Broadway flower mobile.
We also care for 17 large concrete planters at key sites in our zone, which are filled with perennial and self-seeding native plants. Our goal is to work towards sustainable & climate-conscious beautification!
We're investing heavily in beautiful, artistic lighting to bring additional illumination to our streets at night. Floating orbs decorate our old-growth trees, while our rainbow lamp-posts remind visitors that West Broadway embraces its diverse & artistic spirit.
The BIZ acts as a strong voice for its members, engaging with all levels of government and diverse community stakeholders to help resolve issues and advance your priorities. We also act a spokespeople, representing our community to the media. We are committed to advancing our vision for a thriving neighbourhood.
We can support you with diverse questions around issues such as: City services, public safety, infrastructure & traffic concerns, permits & zoning, derelict properties, media issues and more.

We circulate a quarterly public newsletter to over 1,400 subscribers, advertising sales, specials events & announcements from our members.
We are highly active on social media to amplify your accounts, and we also offer professional support to help you develop your online presence. Tag us @WestBroadwayBIZ so that we can share your content.
We regularly undertake other marketing activities like contests, giveaways, special events and print promotions.

We invest in public art to create points of interest along our commercial streets, while discouraging graffiti with careful mural placement. West Broadway is home to a dense urban art gallery -- and were always looking to add more.
